About the Role:
 
Manages Loss Mitigation/Home Preservation, collections and related activities based on investor policies and procedures. 
 
  • Perform collection activities and adjust delinquent accounts while corresponding with customers and investors by telephone and/or written communication.
  • Maintain accurate record of past due accounts and collection efforts and continues with follow up actions.
  • Analyze borrowers’ financial situations with the ultimate goal of resolving problem single family mortgage loans and managing them through a workout process which may include forbearance, repayment, modification, short sale, deed-in-lieu and foreclosure.
  • Oversee and manage a multi-investor pipeline, including processing written correspondence to and from assigned customers to ensure timely and accurate communication.
  • Participate in frequent in-person meetings, brainstorming sessions, and collaborative projects to support team collaboration and cross-training efforts.
  • Responsible for reviewing and tracking bankruptcy filings, payments and other litigation items.
  • Responsible for ordering property inspections and other services to secure property per investor guidelines up to and including eviction processing.
  • Responsible for completing all investor and insurance loss claim forms through various channels including various investors.
 
About You:
 
  • H.S Diploma/GED Required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent preferred.
  • 2-4 years relevant mortgage loss mitigation experience.  Experience and other skills may vary depending on the complexity of work and analysis required.
  • Proven ability to collect and analyze borrower income, assets and current debt obligations to determine eligible financial hardship has been met.
  • Knowledge of two of the following third-party investors, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHA, VA, GNMA, OHA and USDA.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage internal and external customer relationships.
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with personal computer and related software packages, including MS Office Word, and Excel, and other business machines.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $25.00 to $33.00 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
