About the Role:

The Engagement Program Manager plays a key role in supporting the bank’s Social Impact Department by overseeing the implementation of both internal and external Social Impact initiatives.

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our Associate Driven Sponsorship Program, with a total of more than $1.6 million in giving annually, including community relationship building, database management, financial reconciliation, and impact reporting.
  • Oversee Associate Philanthropy programs throughout the year, including our Dollars for Doers, Associate Giving and Volunteer programs, and provide support for our signature fundraising event, Warm Hearts.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and maintain detailed records for internal and external programs across multiple payment platforms for all Social Impact programs.
  • Manage the bank’s social impact software platforms. Track and manage data and social impact reporting/statistics for programs and projects across the organization to drive engagement and measure program effectiveness.
  • Communicate internally the opportunities and benefits of participating in Associate Giving and Associate Volunteer program initiatives to ensure strong engagement and further enhance our purpose-driven culture.
  • Develops training and educational materials for Bank Associates on social impact and community engagement programs.
  • Manage the bank’s community involvement through various internal and external communication channels including email, mail, phone, the web, and social media.
  • Establish relationships and maintain contact with key organizations that the Bank supports through sponsorship support and volunteerism efforts. Monitor and maintain all sponsorship support materials to ensure requestors receive the various items they request for their events.
  • Represent the bank in social settings and interact with community leaders this will include after-hour events.
  • Maintain Social Impact team’s policies and procedures.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service with internal and external partners by providing clear, timely, and accurate communication
  • Support the Social Impact team with coordination of various projects.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
  • Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words.

About You:

  • High school diploma or GED. Required
  • Bachelors degree in social impact, philanthropy, community engagement, non-profit management or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years social impact, non-profit or volunteer management experience desired
  • Exceptional customer service abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and web content management systems
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work effectively as in individual and as part of a project team
  • Ability to interact with all executive and senior managers and other levels within and outside the organization
  • Organizes, prioritizes, and coordinates activities and meets critical deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and deadline-driven
  • Highly productive and organized in a fast-paced environment

Our Benefits:

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is [$65,000.00 - $110,000.00] .00and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
