About the Role:
The Asset Based Auditor II/Field Examiner II performs audit write-ups and audits/field examinations on prospect and existing asset-based borrowers. In addition to focusing on accounts receivable, inventory or other assets supporting the Borrowing Bases, the audits will include a review of books and records; analyses of accounts payable, bank statements, tax payments and filing status, insurance, sources, uses of cash and financial statement reviews that include other assets, other liabilities, and equity accounts. The Auditor/Examiner II will perform tests and analyses of the accounts receivable, inventory and other collateral, as deemed necessary as well as a general review of the borrower’s business. For audits of non-Borrowing Base/non-ABL monitored accounts, the Audit/Examiner II will focus on income recognition and account reconciliations to verify the reliability of the financial statements used to support the line of credit in addition to discussing major changes to key balance sheet and income statement accounts. Individual is the subject matter expert and may act as lead for other Collateral Examiners.
- Understand and perform the ABL functions associated with accounting and review of the examination assignment.
- Plan, direct, control and fulfill the examination assignment as required.
- Manage an assignment and be responsible for the accompanying personnel.
- Ability to provide industry specific recommendations to the borrowing base structure.
- Prepare clear and concise high level written exam reports, highlighting areas of risk and exposure.
- Review loan documentation as it relates to the audit/exam assignment.
- Over-night, out of town travel required.
- Prepare and participate in meetings/presentations when necessary and participate in other professional activities.
- Responsible for over-seeing and training employees in Examiner I and II positions.
- Full understanding of the Bank’s credit products.
- Serve as the backup to the Audit Manager in reviewing exam reports and related tasks.
- May serve as the backup in the absence of the Field Exam Scheduler.
- Works independently with little or no supervision.
- Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations that apply to your position and keep up to date on regulation changes.
- Maintain working knowledge of our policies and procedures regarding the Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other regulations that apply to your position.
- May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.
About You:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance.
- At least 5+ years of ABL audit/field exam experience.
- Prior asset-based lending experience required.
- Advanced accounting and analytical skills
- Maintain an efficient and business-like approach at all times.
- Advance knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Keep the Audit Manager, the ABL Account Executive, and the Borrower aware of the progress of an assignment at all times; and stay within the parameters established for the assignment.
- Possess effective time management skills and ability to multitask.
- Advanced research and data gathering skills.
- Strong working knowledge of loan documentation and collateral regulations.
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain and recommend working knowledge of Bank policies, procedures, and systems.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $69,223 to $109,968 and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
