About the Role:

 

Provides operational support to business units and customers in establishing and maintaining Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) by ensuring that contracts are created, distributions are performed accurately, and records are maintained in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Contributes to the objectives and goals of the unit as a member of the deposit operations team.
 

  • Assist branch and department personnel with operations-related issues aligned with assigned functions.
  • Participate in ongoing education aligned with functional area, to remain apprised of relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide feedback to management regarding recommended changes to policies and procedures.
  • Train new associates on assigned job functions as needed.
  • May perform a variety of functions within the deposit operations group.  Workloads may require rapid shifts of focus from one functional are to another.
  • Assist branch and department personnel with operations-related issues aligned with assigned functions.
  • Participate in ongoing education aligned with functional area, to remain apprised of relevant laws and regulations
  • Provide feedback to management regarding recommended changes to policies and procedures.
  • Train new associates on assigned job functions as needed.
  • Demonstrates compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities – knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training. Keeps up to date on regulation changes.
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual or job-specific training.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank's written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description.
  • May be asked to coach, mentor, or train others and teach coursework as subject matter expert.

About You:

 

  • H.S. Diploma/GED, vocational training or equivalent, required.
  • 2-4 years of customer service experience, preferred.
  • 2-4 years of banking experience, required.
  • Less than 2 years of bank operations experience, preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Capability to acquire a deep understanding of retirement accounts through diverse training methods and activities.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Word and Excel software applications.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, use tact and diplomacy; maintains professional demeanor.
  • Requires basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant bank operating procedures, practices and policies.
  • Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the bank.

 

Workstyle: Fully onsite.

 

Travel Type: Occasional.

We offer a competitive total rewards package including base wages and comprehensive benefits. The pay range for this role is $20.77 - $27.00, and the pay rate for the selected candidate is dependent upon a variety of non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, education, and geographic location. The role may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and those details will be provided during the recruitment process.
