Summary: Under the direction of the AVP for MedWorks conducts comprehensive health assessments, demonstrating a high level of autonomy and expert skill in the diagnosis and treatment of complex responses of individual to actual or potential health problems.  Formulates clinical decisions to manage acute and chronic work-related illnesses/injuries and promote wellness.  Integrates education, research and management, leadership and consultation into clinical role and functions in collegial relationships with peers, physicians, professionals and others who influence the health care environment.  Provides health care in accordance with standards of practice as outlined by the American Nurses Association.

Qualifications: Licensed as Registered Nurse/NP in Massachusetts. Graduate of Nurse Practitioner Program with Certificate. BLS certification required. Master’s degree with major in Nursing required. Demonstrates competency in clinical practice with minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience. Knowledge of patient care resources and ability to identify and utilize them effectively. Demonstrates ability to assess, organize, teach and evaluate educational programs for nurses, health-related personnel, patients and families OR equivalent combination of the above
