Position Summary:

Coordinates patient and staff scheduling and flow. Performs patient exams and oversees the daily operation and activities of the staff technologists.

Position Qualifications:

Unless otherwise specified under the “Modality Specific Requirements”, the following position qualifications are required:

High School Diploma plus additional board specialized training equal to two years of college is required. ARRT certification in Radiology is required. RTR licensure in Commonwealth Massachusetts is required. BLS certification is required. Two years related experience is required.

Maintaining all area specific CEUs for ARRT, DPH according to regulation is required

Some specialty modalities may require additional formal training and certification.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Functions as a technical resource to peers, through demonstration of expert knowledge of department protocols, procedures and image quality
  • Distributes and monitors the flow of work for an assigned group of employees.
  • Reviews and updates department imaging protocols annually.
  • Performs imaging exams following departmental protocols.
  • Assists with department preceptors, provide training and technical assistance and assists in monitoring progress of orientees.
