Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Unit: Med/Surg

Shift: Per Diem, Mixed shifts

Location: UMass Memorial-Marlborough Hospital

Summary: Working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse the C.N.A. is responsible for delivering care to the patients on our medical/surgical floor.  Reports to the Nurse Director. 

Qualifications: Successful completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant program or 1 year completion of basic med/surg nursing education.  One year recent sub acute or acute care nursing assistant experience preferred.  BLS certification required and High School Diploma or GED.  Must possess the following skills: reading, writing and simple mathematical calculations.  Good interpersonal skills required.  Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups.  Integrity, flexibility and the ability to communicate effectively verbally required.  Manual dexterity required to perform tests and complete treatments.  Ability to follow through and understand instructions required.
