Title: Physical Therapist

Shift: Per Diem - (Sundays w/min of 4hrs guaranteed. Additional hrs for per diem coverage to be available after Sundays).

Location: Center for Sports & Physical Therapy - UMass Memorial-Marlborough Hospital - Shrewsbury, MA

Summary: Physical therapist who is responsible for performing a complete evaluation on patients to determine the effect of their impairments on their mobility and function as well as ability to participate in sports.

S/he will create an individualized treatment plan that will address their needs as well as the patients’ goals to allow return to their prior level of function and sport. 

The therapist will perform traditional exercises as well as sport specific exercises.  Must possess ability and expertise in the use of various equipment as well as techniques such as taping and manual skills.   

The therapist must also be able to complete functional evaluation for patient’s s/p surgeries that will include same day total hip and knee replacements.

Ability to use electronic medical record and complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner.

Flexible schedule that may include early am or evening appointments as well as being on call for late surgical patients.

Ability to communicate with patients, families, colleagues (PTA included) as well as other professionals including the referring MD.

Qualifications: Graduate with degree in Physical Therapy from accredited school required. Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to produce optimum results. Inpatient experience preferred. CPR certified
