Title: Communications Operator

Unit: Communications

Shift: Per Diem - Mixed Shifts

Location: UMass Memorial-Marlborough Hospital

Summary: Under the supervision of the Telecommunications Supervisor, perform a variety of duties operating the hospital communications systems including but not limited to: Telephone Switchboard, Emergency Telephone System, Building and Fire Alarm System, Paging System, Beeper System and dispatching Support Services.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. At least one-year experience operating a switchboard. Familiar with Communication Systems, capable of learning hospital procedures and operating computers. Excellent verbal and communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills. Available to work rotating shifts as required OR equivalent combination of the above.
