 Recent experience in automated Accounts Payable. Experience with 1099 reporting. Strong Microsoft skills.
 
Position Summary:
 
Manages all activities and personnel required to disburse payments to vendors in accordance with established UMMHC policies and Accounts Payable departmental procedures.
 
Major Responsibilities: 

  • Ensures that files are maintained in a timely and orderly fashion for purchase orders, invoices and other pertinent accounts payable documents/data to provide control, ensure accuracy, avoid duplication, and enable issuance of accurate 1099 tax documents.
  • Schedules” check runs and other disbursements; assists with monitoring cash flow; generates monthly and periodic reports.
  • Issues demand check runs as required.
  • Researches and resolves problems, issues and questions.
  • Coordinates monthly and annual accounts payable closing processes; reconciles accounts payable feeds to the general ledger.
  • Serves as liaison between Accounts Payable and Materials Management.
  • Coordinates monthly and year-end accrual process in conjunction with General Accounting.
 
Position Qualifications:
 
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business.  Three to five years’ technical experience in accounts payable or finance, including supervisory skills.  Strong verbal, written, and communication skills, as well as computer proficiency.
