Academic Cerebrovascular/Endovascular/Skull Base Neurosurgeon

Worcester, MA

The Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) and UMass Memorial Medical Center (UMMMC) is actively recruiting a full time clinical academic neurosurgeon with fellowship training and/or experience in cerebrovascular surgery, endovascular surgery and skull base surgery. This individual will serve as Director of Cerebrovascular and Skull Base Neurosurgery, with the opportunity to be Co-director of the Cerebrovascular Program at UMMS and UMMMC, depending upon experience and leadership skills. This individual will work closely with neuro-interventional radiology and neurology and must be a collaborative team-player with excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a high-functioning multi-specialty team. The position requires a commitment to excellence in patient care, teaching, research and a dedication to place the patient at the center of all decisions. Clinical or translational research interests are encouraged and aggressively supported. The academic rank will be commensurate with expertise and training. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in Neurological Surgery.
