Core responsibilities focusing on administrative secretarial duties within the Finance department as well as a knowledge of basic accounting principles.

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing support to the accounting team for day to day functions such as compiling data, keeping calendars, preparing reports and performing introductory level accounting analysis and tasks. 

Position Qualifications:



  1. High School Diploma.



  1. 3 years of experience in a clerical accounting or finance department.
  2. Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
  3. Attention to detail and ability to multitask, while keeping to deadlines.
  4. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, preferably including strong excel skills over large amounts of data (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables and Charts).
  5. Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with compiling reporting for cross-functional groups such as Finance, Treasury and Tax.
  2. Compiles data and prepares a variety of reports.
  3. Verifies the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  4. Updates and maintains accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions (e.g., disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable). Enters data into computer system using defined computer programs (SAP)
  5. Serve as backup to office lead/supervisor.
  6. Reconciles records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
  7. Recommends actions to resolve discrepancies.
  8. Investigates questionable data.
  9. Coordinate food and schedule for monthly, quarterly and annual Accounting Department meetings
  10. Support accounting managers with administrative needs
  11. Coordinate meetings and book conference rooms
  12. Scan, print, file for the department
  13. Assist with writing and formatting documents and presentations
  14. Complete special projects on an as needed basis.
  15. Assist in other tasks as assigned
