Fixed Term Contract until March 2025
The Supply Chain Planner has responsibility for the flow of spare parts and consumables across UCC UK & Ireland sites; including purchasing and replenishment; control and management of optimum stock levels; and the day to day supplier management of product and logistic providers.
The Role:
  • Lead purchasing and stock replenishment activities for set suppliers for allocated spare parts and consumables including raising, audit of receipting and recording purchase orders and invoices on in-house computer systems
  • Continual forecasting for spare parts to ensure the best and most accurate data is available for ordering
  • Develop external relationships with product suppliers to monitor performance, ensure supply lead times are minimised and supply efficiencies are maximised
  • Expedite deliveries to ensure timely delivery of purchase orders
  • Implement and lead perpetual inventory counts daily with stores, workshop and warehouse teams, ensuring stock levels are accurately analysed and reported
  • Set and monitor KPI’s for PI accuracy
  • Implement inventory analysis measures highlighting stock turns, excess inventory and slow/non-moving stock
  • Support spare parts sales to external customers, arranging onward supply
  • Understand monthly stock reconciliation in line with monthly financial reporting requirements to be able to produce as required
  • Set up new products, new users, new engineers, new suppliers and new locations on in-house system as required
  • Review, improve and maintain current process for filter counts
  • Provide regular reports and forecasts to the Head of Supply Chain as needed
  • Create and maintain SOP’s and Process Maps for all tasks within this role
  • Assist with adhoc inventory related projects and support Supply Chain colleagues during absences
The Person:
  • Demonstrable experience in a stock control/purchasing environment with a proven track record of continuous improvement
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • An effective communicator with strong attention to detail
  • Analytical with the ability to multi task and prioritise workload in a pressurised environment
  • Competent/advanced user of MS Office and ERP based systems
  • Self-motivated with a flexible and conscientious approach to work (Fixed Term Contract until March 2025)
Salary: Up to £26,500 pro-rata + 25 days Holiday + Pension + EAP + Life Assurance + other Company benefits.
