Description

Tyler Technologies is looking for a passionate, talented Software Engineer to join our Courts and Justice product development team. As a Software Engineer on our team, you will work in a fast-paced, results-driven environment to build new features and functionality into our cloud-native web applications.


Responsibilities

  • Develop new application functionality from documented requirements and mockups.
  • Implement web user interfaces using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Maintain existing application functionality by fixing bugs or clearing up operational deficiencies.
  • Develop RESTful web services.
  • Write unit tests.
  • Participate in architecture design sessions.
  • Collaborate well with an agile development team with a positive attitude.
  • Achieve departmental goals and timelines.
  • Investigate and resolve Dev Ops as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to excel working in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Knowledge of Agile development practices.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or comparable work experience.
  • 1-3 years of software engineering experience with relevant technologies:
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • JavaScript
    • SQL Server 2008+
    • C# (.NET 4.0+ or .NETCore)
  • Additional experience with these technologies is preferred, but not required:
    • Elasticsearch
    • AngularJS or Angular 2+ or Vue.js
    • Docker
    • Entity Framework
    • AWS (lambda functions, EC2, S3, etc)
  • Demonstrated proficient knowledge of software development practices, computer science theory, and understanding of relevant technologies.
  • Demonstrated basic understanding of product architecture and all underlying technologies.
  • Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment.
  • Good interpersonal skills including verbal and written communication and teamwork.
  • Well-developed logical thinking, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced, technical environment.
  • Keen attention to detail.
