CloudOps Engineer, Cybersecurity
Description
The CloudOps Engineer, Cybersecurity helps build and manage the cloud systems that keep Tyler’s products running smoothly and securely. In this role, you’ll work on supporting cloud environments and improving how applications are delivered and monitored. You’ll use tools like Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes to set up and maintain infrastructure, and help create CI/CD pipelines that make deployments faster and more reliable. This position also supports Tyler’s cybersecurity and AI/ML initiatives, giving you opportunities to work with modern technologies and cross-functional teams. Role and Responsibilities
The CloudOps Engineer is responsible for automating infrastructure and deployment pipelines, operating cloud platforms, and supporting the delivery of secure, scalable services across Tyler’s product ecosystem. This role plays a key part in delivering Tyler’s cybersecurity offerings — including MDR, FR&C, and Professional Services — and supporting AI/ML workflows and observability infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, evolve, and support infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Build, maintain, and scale CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Operate cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) with a focus on performance, cost, and security.
- Deploy and support AI/ML model workflows using tools like MLflow, SageMaker, or TorchServe.
- Integrate and leverage AIOps platforms like Datadog Watchdog, Dynatrace Davis AI, New Relic AI.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, and Security teams for reliable, repeatable deployments.
- Troubleshoot complex system and application issues across hybrid environments.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Maintain documentation of systems, procedures, and deployments.
- Promote automation, continuous improvement, and shared responsibility.
- Projects assigned by manager.
- Additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience in CloudOps, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins).
- Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell, Go, C#).
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience in AWS and/or Azure environments.
- Familiarity with AI/ML model deployment and observability tools.
- Understanding of application servers (IIS, Node.js,) and relational databases.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
