Accounting Supervisor
Description
We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor to oversee and be responsible for the completion of financial statement analyses, general accounting, third party accounting/reporting, monthly reconciliations, internal and external audit compliance.
This position will work the early morning shift (7a-4p Philippines Time) to collaborate with U.S. leaders, counterparts and team members.
Responsibilities
- Prepare month end closes, including journal entries, workpaper preparation and analysis.
- Manage monthly and quarterly internal financial reporting.
- Manage monthly reconciliation preparation and review.
- Key liaison with internal and external tax and audit professionals.
- Produce year-end reporting package for auditors and provide requested data.
- Manage financial statement analysis, general accounting, third party accounting/reporting, monthly reconciliations, internal and external audit compliance in accordance with GAAP.
- Provide insight and analysis on financial data and documentation as needed.
- Contribute ideas and suggest process improvements to drive greater efficiencies.
- Oversee accounting staff, including managing talent and performance, conducting reviews, etc.
- Manage the system integration from QuickBooks to Dynamics 365
The Accounting Supervisor must be able to:
- Manage the successful implementation of the a new financial system (move from QuickBooks to Dynamics 365)
- Design and maintain new processes and lead change management effort to Tyler Corporate goals.
- Manage multiple systems that process accounting transactions to produce the financial statements
- Generate, present and effectively communicate relevant and actionable information to management as requested.
- Effectively lead the PHP Accounting team to accomplish team goals/objectives and coach, mentor and develop team members.
- Perform and thrive under tight deadlines
- Demonstrate ability to deal with complex organizational issues and communicate with all levels of the company, from staff to executive level.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or comparable.
- CPA required
- 5+ years’ progressive experience in general ledger accounting, financial statement preparation
- Some public accounting experience preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks and Dynamics 365, and system integration helpful
- Keen attention to detail and ability to accurately review others’ work
- Experience working for a US based publicly traded company helpful
- Extensive knowledge of PHP GAAP (SEC and Sarbanes Oxley compliance helpful)
- Prior experience leading teams or projects is preferred
- Effective analytical and interpersonal communication skills
- Advanced to Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
- Must be able to work 5 days per week at our BGC Office in Taguig.
