Description

Tyler Technologies is looking to hire an Quality Assurance Analyst for our North Logan, Utah location.  Our ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain test plans, cases, and test scripts while performing comprehensive software testing.  The role also involves troubleshooting issues, conducting performance and security testing, and providing detailed reports to the development team. The ideal candidate should have experience with automation frameworks and strong problem-solving skills, along with the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business and technical requirements. Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify ambiguities
  • Design test plans, test cases, test steps and test scripts.
  • Perform comprehensive regression, functional, and performance testing.
  • Identify, log, and track defects.
  • Document test results and prepare reports.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze issues found during testing to determine root causes and provide detailed reports to the development team.
  • Evaluate findings from automated scans and manual testing to determine if they are actual findings or false positives and provide detailed reports to the development team.
  • Provide analysis and consulting support for development and tech support team upon request.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Conduct load, stress, and security tests.
  • Communicate effectively with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders.
  • Apply technical skills to ensure quality coverage of increasingly complex test scenarios involving web applications, APIs, databases and other system components.
  • Employ a continuous improvement approach to refine and improve processes and tools as appropriate or share recommendations with the team.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
  • Hands-on experience with test management and automation tools (e.g., Playwright, JIRA, Xray).
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
  • Proficiency in analyzing technical issues and performing root cause analysis.
  • Experience with performance and security testing tools.
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
 
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., TypeScript, Python).
  • Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD technologies (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Maven, etc.).
