Appraisal Field Manager
Description
As a Field Manager, you would oversee the appraisal process for residential properties from start to finish. Working together with the Project Manager and project Appraisers, you would finalize the appraised value of all but the most complex properties. The position requires a unique combination of mass appraisal knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Final reconciliation of value considering cost, income, and market approach.
- Analyze market, cost, and land models to identify patterns or anomalies as applied to individual properties.
- Prepare and present defense of values to appointed Boards.
- Inspect and gather images of properties to ensure that property records reflect current and accurate property characteristics.
- Collect and record detailed property and economic data and verify data via interview with property owner or occupant if available.
- Oversee the training and development of residential data collectors.
- Perform quality assurance checks of completed property data reports.
- Manage schedules, payroll approval, and production reports.
- Ensure production standards for quality and quantity comply with project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Three years or more experience as a certified appraiser or certified property assessor
- Practitioner - Tax Assessor or Appraiser
- Three years of more management experience
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Excellent analytical ability
- Spatial ability to read maps and locate a physical location on a map
- Ability to visualize floor plan footprints based on three-dimensional buildings
- Good math skills to calculate square footage, ratios, and similar functions
- Working knowledge of a CAMA system
- General PC skills including knowledge of MS Word and Excel, or other equivalents, are desirable
- Must be able to provide reliable transportation, carry full insurance on vehicle and have valid driver’s license.
