We are seeking an experienced QA Analyst to join our team and help establish the quality foundation for a mobile application project where test cases, QA processes, and documentation are still being built from the ground up.

This role is ideal for someone who excels in fast-paced environments, has strong manual testing experience across Android and iOS platforms, and is comfortable working with evolving requirements and limited documentation. The QA Analyst will play a key role in ensuring the quality, usability, stability, and integration reliability of our mobile applications and connected systems.

You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, Designers, Backend Engineers, and stakeholders to identify issues early, improve release quality, and build scalable QA processes for both mobile and backend integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements, technical specifications, APIs, and user stories to define testing scope and strategy.
  • Create detailed test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and QA documentation from scratch.
  • Perform comprehensive manual testing for mobile applications on Android and iOS devices.
  • Compatibility Testing such as testing on iPads and other devices such as QR code scanners
  • Conduct functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Validate integrations between mobile applications, backend services, APIs, third-party systems, and external platforms.
  • Perform end-to-end testing across mobile apps and integrated systems.
  • Identify, document, reproduce, and track defects through resolution using defect tracking tools.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and product teams during feature development and release cycles.
  • Verify API responses, data synchronization, push notifications, authentication flows, and system integrations.
  • Test mobile app behavior across multiple devices, OS versions, screen sizes, and network conditions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and retrospectives.
  • Help establish QA standards, workflows, templates, and testing best practices for the project.
  • Assist in defining acceptance criteria and ensuring requirements are testable and complete.
  • Maintain organized documentation of testing activities, test evidence, and release validation results.
  • Provide regular QA status updates, risk assessments, and quality reports to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Manual QA / Software Testing
  • Strong hands-on experience testing mobile applications on Android and iOS 
  • Proven experience working on projects with limited or no existing QA documentation or test cases
  • Experience creating:
    • Test plans
    • Test cases
    • Test scenarios
    • Regression suites
    • Integration test documentation
    • Defect reports
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Mobile application testing
    • Integration testing
    • Functional testing
    • Regression testing
    • End-to-end testing
    • API testing
    • User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Experience validating integrations between mobile apps, APIs, backend systems, and third-party services.
  • Familiarity with API testing tools such as:
    • Postman
    • Swagger
    • Insomnia
  • Experience using defect tracking and test management tools such as:
    • Jira
    • Azure DevOps
    • TestRail
    • Zephyr
  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Experience with Browserstack
  • Familiarity with mobile debugging tools and device logs.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in fast-changing environments with evolving requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience testing SaaS or enterprise mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with mobile automation tools such as Appium, Playwright, or Detox.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for backend data validation.
  • Experience testing push notifications, authentication, and payment integrations.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release testing processes.
  • Experience working with remote or distributed teams.
