Description

The Director is responsible for ensuring sales of Tyler Products and services are maximized in support of the vision set forth by senior management. The incumbent is highly experienced and knowledgeable about Tyler products and services, and can thus influence sales outcomes. The Director must also ensure staff performs at or above expected levels and must ensure new staff is brought up to speed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Develops a strategic sales plan for the assigned client base and/or geographic territory and ensures the sales plan is implemented in a manner that maximizes sales to Tyler.
  • Acts as a resource to sales staff to assist with day-to-day activities as well as to bring newly hired staff up to speed.
  • Handles personnel issues and decisions such as hiring, employee performance, and development,
  • Negotiates contracts and handles pricing decisions within parameters as defined by senior management.
  • Travels to trade shows and/or client sites as
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience selling software products and services.
  • Proven experience acting as a resource to staff in a management capacity.
  • Proven track record of assisting and developing employees to maximum
  • Must possess a competitive drive and results-oriented
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Excellent presentation skills. Previous public speaking experience a plus.
  • Must be a self-starter in addition to a team player
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and employees
  • Must possess general computer (PC) literacy and proficiency with MS Office
  • Must possess a valid driver’s
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
