The Market Intelligence Analyst is responsible for gathering and synthesizing secondary market and competitor data into insightful and actionable analyses. These analyses will inform product and marketing decisions, drive winning corporate strategies, and enable Tyler to capitalize on market trends. The Analyst assists the Strategic Planning, Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, executive leadership and other internal groups. 

Responsibilities

  • Work with internal clients to identify and define research objectives. Determine the best data collection approach to meet those objectives.  
  • Gather relevant research via secondary sources such as analyst reports, industry intelligence databases, competitor websites, articles, or other sources.  
  • Conduct strategic analyses of collected data and insights to identify key findings, trends and implications.  
  • Assist with the research and development of Sales Enablement tools such as battle cards, competitive positioning, FOIA analyses.  
  • Build out and maintain competitive information libraries on Market Strategy Confluence and SharePoint sites.   
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and Marketing staff through in-person and online meetings. Less than ten percent travel required.  
  • Contribute data and insights to Tyler growth strategies and opportunities, called Whitespace, as appropriate.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing.  
  • 3+ years' experience in competitive intelligence, product marketing, or data-driven decision making.  
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities necessary to assess data effectively and accurately.  
  • The ability to transform information into actionable strategic insights for internal customer decision-making and presentation. 
  • Self-motivated with exceptional business acumen. A strategic thinker. 
  • Strong investigative and market research skills. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Power Point).  
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI a plus. 
  • Experience in public sector enterprise software a plus. 
  • The ability to write reports and verbally communicate findings to the Market Intelligence team, the Director of Strategic Intelligence, internal customers, and others. 
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
