The Marketing Communications Specialist will have a positive impact on the Division by delivering campaigns that raise awareness, generate leads, and create loyalty among the division’s prospects, clients and prospects. The work of the MarCom Specialist will enhance the brand, position Tyler for consideration, and help close new business.

Responsibilities

  • Drive our business forward via innovative integrated marketing programs that include email, web, video, collateral, presentations, and/or events such as trade shows.  
  • Produce clear, concise, and engaging content that meets objectives. 
  • Write product fact sheets, brochures, case studies, advertising, web copy, and other collateral as directed.
  • Maintain and manage project schedules, approvals, and deliverables using department software and related tools.
  • When working independently, demonstrate ability to create and meet self-imposed deadlines.
  • When working with others, demonstrate a collaborative spirit and an ability to engage in productive, inclusive, objective-driven discussion.
  • Bring new ideas and creative approaches, while balancing these with willingness to reach consensus and get the job done on time.
  • Analyze campaign/program metrics to determine which are most effective, and leverage this information to improve future efforts.
  • Develop knowledge of Tyler products, markets, competitors, clients, and internal resources to support marketing strategy and team planning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience 
  • Typically requires 3-5 years marketing experience 
  • Strong writing skills are core to the role
  • Experience effectively managing a variety of projects and timelines
  • An understanding of marketing communications vehicles – including email, direct mail, collateral, video, web, and trade shows 
  • Ability to proofread with an eye towards specific style guide rules
  • Strong use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Experience with Marketo or similar email and campaign building software preferred
  • Experience in technology/software industry and/or the public sector, particularly in K-12 education, a plus but not required
