Description

The Associate Proposal Content Developer will manage responses for requests for proposals and related content ensuring professional division proposals are tailored to client needs. This includes responding to requests for proposals and other sales inquiries by crafting unique, opportunity specific content ensuring communications and deliverables accurately reflect the benefits and features of the proposed solution. The Associate Proposal Content Developer will collaborate with the division’s sales team, product marketing, legal, development, management, and relevant parties. The incumbent will obtain and apply their knowledge of division products and market positioning to craft communications with targeted messaging. A successful incumbent consistently applies strong messaging, developing and editing content skills as understands technology, division products/solutions and the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Creates opportunity specific messaging/communications based on identified business challenges and project goals.
  • Analyzes and responds to all functional requirements, including checklist items and short essay responses with accurate and comprehensive responses to meet client needs.
  • Researchers and responds to client inquiries received from the sales team.
  • Coordinates and manages all aspects of the proposal preparation – from receiving the request for proposal, organizing the proposal, assigning proposal questions to subject matter experts, providing and managing deadlines, tracking document version control, through to the final proposal submission in line with established proposal development processes.
  • Works closely with appropriate division staff to ensure document compliance and timely response.
  • Coordinates and manages all legal forms and signatures as well as additional documentation required as part of the required RFP submission.
  • Coordinates and manages the proposal production process and ensures adherence to all required instruction and schedules.
  • Ensures that the final proposal submission is in compliance with all Request for Proposal requirements.
  • Maintains tracking, statistics and relevant documentation on proposal success or failure after submission to the client.
  • Applies understanding of marketing positioning in all aspects of the position.
  • Obtains and continually stays current on product knowledge and related technology
  • Assists with process improvement initiatives.
  • Maintains archive of proposals following final submission.
  • Works with subject matter experts to develop, research, and write concise, compliant, persuasive responses to technical requirements.
  • Helps create and maintain subject matter and proposal Q & A databases involving sorting, searching, and retrieving data in a variety of different ways that supports the business needs, the proposal development process, and sales process.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field or comparable work experience.
  • Strong research, writing, editing, quantitative and verbal communication skills required with the ability to position communications effectively for the needs of a specific audience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment (both independently and as part of a team).
  • Strong attention to detail and follow up.
  • Strong professional and persuasive written/verbal communication s
  • Strong time management and organizational skills involving the ability to effectively manage multiple projects/ tasks simultaneously with deliverables on or ahead of schedule.
  • Demonstrated team player, self -starter, and independent thinker.
  • Intermediate skills in MS Word (formatting), Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong initiative, interpersonal, collaboration, and client service skills
  • Ability to effective problem solving skills drawing logical conclusions.
  • Ability to learn software solution/products/capabilities/features and gain industry understanding.
  • Able to accommodate 5-10% travel.
