Quality Assurance Analyst – Web Accessibility Focus
Description
Tyler Technology is seeking a detail-oriented QA Analyst with a focus on web accessibility. In this role, you'll ensure our digital products meet accessibility standards and are usable by individuals with diverse needs, including disabilities. You’ll collaborate across teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to post-launch, while advocating for inclusive design and driving continuous improvement.
In this role, you will work closely with design, product, and development teams to identify, test, and address accessibility barriers while ensuring a seamless user experience across all devices. You will advocate for accessibility throughout the entire development process, from design to deployment, and contribute to refining accessibility standards and practices within the organization.
Must be able to work at least 2 days a week at our BGC Office in Taguig.
Responsibilities:
Web Accessibility Testing & Remediation:
Expertise in accessibility standards such as WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2, Section 508, ARIA, and ADA.
Experience with accessibility testing tools like ARC, Axe, WAVE, and screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver, etc.).
Troubleshoot and address accessibility issues with teams, providing feedback to improve designs for better accessibility.
Advocate for accessible design patterns in development.
Expertise in testing practices for desktop native application
Quality Assurance Testing:
Validate client/server functionality, user interfaces, and compatibility across multiple platforms and media, ensuring accessibility, including:
Desktop applications
Native mobile apps
Electronic documents (PDF, Word, etc.)
Video content (if applicable)
Perform testing exercises on a variety of browser and device types like iOS , Android, Emulator/simulator experiences.
Understand and apply various testing methodologies, including manual and automated testing practices.
Execute accessibility testing through the utilization of tools like ARC, Axe, WAVE, etc.
Identify, document, and report accessibility defects as well as track issue resolutions.
Create and execute detailed test plans and cases.
Perform regression, performance, and compatibility testing as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX, Development, Product, etc.) to resolve issues.
Data-Driven Reporting, Analysis & Documentation:
Generate reports based on automated and manual based audits and test results.
Provide actionable accessibility recommendations and track the progress of known remediation efforts.
Assist in creating business intelligence projects to track accessibility metrics.
Maintain clear and detailed documentation of accessibility audits, known remediation efforts, and standards.
Collaboration & Process Improvement:
Work with cross-functional teams to embed accessibility best practices.
Contribute to improvements in testing methodologies and stay updated on trends.
Provide guidance on accessibility testing tools and processes.
Client & Stakeholder Interaction:
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accessibility in product releases.
Present findings to both technical and executive teams.
Provide ongoing support to resolve web accessibility issues.
Qualifications
Experience:
Strong experience in manual and tool-based web accessibility testing (WCAG, Section 508, ARIA).
Familiarity with assistive technologies and automated testing tools (JAWS, NVDA, Voiceover, etc.).
Background in manual testing for accessibility and functionality.
Technical Skills:
Knowledgeable of semantic code practices (HTML, CSS, and JavaScript) to help troubleshoot inaccessible code.
Experience with testing frameworks (Cypress, Selenium).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
Soft Skills:
Strong communication skills
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with TPGi's ARC Platform and tooling for accessibility testing and reporting.
Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools.
Knowledge of responsive design and performance testing.
