Position Summary
The Sr. Purchasing Analyst will support the Supply Chain team in daily functions related to submitting POs, communicating with outside vendors for order status and relaying delays to the internal TUUCI team. Manages day to day supplier relationships and elevates concerns of supplier performance on cost, quality, delivery, and lead times to Supply Chain Manager and Director of Supply Chain and Logistics. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Initiates purchase orders and contracts for parts, services, and/or special tools.
  • Secures and analyzes quotes, negotiates price, transportation, and terms with suppliers. Recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness.
  • Partners with Sales and Customer Service teams to ensure inventory is on hand for Customer Orders.
  • Arranges for submission and inspection of sample products as required. Closely coordinates with TUUCI Engineering, New Product Development, and Quality Control to assure accuracy of parts purchased.
  • Utilizes forecasting tool in ERP and sales forecasts to properly plan purchases and safety stock levels.
  • Negotiates with suppliers on lead times and stocking inventory to reduce Tuuci inventory.
  • Works within Supply Chain, Engineering, and Production on cost saving initiatives.
  • Research market prices, trends, engineering developments and manufacturing methods and suggests improvements.
  • Adheres to TUUCI Purchasing Processes and Policies.
  • Maintains a safe, positive, and clean work environment. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Qualifications:
 
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred from an accredited institution (Supply Chain, Business, or related field highly desirable).
  • 3 – 5  years of experience on a Supply Chain/Logistics team in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical and business writing skills.
  • Demonstrated decision-making, problem solving, organizational and systems-related skills.
  • Strong data mindset and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in English (Spanish proficiency a plus) with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a business setting.
  • Excellent follow up, time management and communications skills are required.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP system management are required.
