Description

Warehouse Supervisor – Accomplishes warehouse staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures while maintaining proper inventory controls. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
 
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment.
  • Maintains staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees, developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Maintains Quality Product by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
  • Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs, evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Create or revise systems and procedures and by analyzing operating practices, record-keeping systems and personnel requirements, and implementing changes.
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing data; investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action.
  • Review and approve timecards.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are followed and maintained and proper cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
  • Working additional hours over and above your normal working hours may be required to achieve production targets.
  • Restock received product into warehouse assigned stocking locations and assure the replenishment of picking locations.
  • Implement proper inventory controls and cycle counting to ensure WIP and Inventory levels are correct and notify supply chain personnel of outages.
  • Lead physical inventory counts during annual inventory.
  • Leads, guides, and supports other employees performing related work.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 
Required Skills/Abilities: 
 
  • Must have 3+ years’ experience working in a warehouse environment as a warehouse lead, supervisor, or in a similar role.
  • Forklift Experience Required or must get forklift license within first 90 days in the role.
  • Prior computer experience required.
  • Communication – communicates clearly and concisely.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborative environment.
  • Problem Solving – can search for and Identify root cause of problems.
  • Experience in conducting independent cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Must have excellent leadership skills and be able to motivate and encourage team members.
  • High School Diploma.
 
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:   
 
  • Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time. Requires ability to push and pull a variety of carts and material handling equipment. Be able to climb, stoop, kneel, and reach.
  • Must be able to make substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers. Be able to hear, see, and communicate through written and verbal means.
  • Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force (push/pull) frequently, and/or must have work experience with lifting up-to 50 lbs.
  • Work is performed inside a warehouse environment that has good ventilation, but employee is exposed to hot temperatures, dirt, dust (exposure to cement dust) and loud noises.
  • Must be flexible and available to work in other areas based on company needs.
  • Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
