Position Summary:   

The role of the Account Manager (“AM”) is to serve as an important business contact with our key accounts. The AM will report to and support the Regional Sales Director. Together they will have a clear grasp on all aspects of each company program and business relationship.   

The AM must consistently provide excellent customer service and sales intuition on client accounts, as well as represent the client’s needs and goals within our organization to ensure that we exceed their expectations. Through successful relationship management and understanding of our role in the client’s business, the AM will work to discover areas for improvement and growth with each client partner.   

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Provide regular input on client projects and account activity
  • Work with the RSD to pinpoint the client’s goals and potential areas for improvement
  • Take initiative and responsibility to own the relationships with the clients
  • Reviews all major deliverables to ensure quality standards and client expectations are met
  • Collaborates with marketing, sales, quality assurance and product development to ensure successful launch of solutions for client issues
  • Maintain an in depth understanding of the various contract segments of the business  
  • Develops a keen grasp of product knowledge and stays up to date on changes and developments
  • Works as a thought starter to diagnose and develop solutions for areas that need improvement
  • Is aware of opportunities for account growth and new business
  • Work closely with the Regional Sales Director and act as liaison between Territory Sales representatives and Regional Sales Director
  • Travel is required

 Education and Qualifications:   

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, planning or procurement within a related industry.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal required.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong ability to develop and nurture business relationships.
  • Polished ability to present and convey information to a group.
  • Ability to use independent judgement with a high level of initiative.
  • Must be detail oriented.
  • Proven ability to manage responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact effectively within a team and with other departments.
  • An interest in and an ability to travel for client visits and industry events.
  • Excellent computer skills, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
