Join a team of professionals where you will be responsible for assisting TURBOCAM to expand our services and products to new and existing market opportunities through the application of knowledge and skills in Electrochemistry, Electrochemical Machining theory, and other unconventional machining techniques. Additionally, the Electrochemical Process Engineer provides training to our technical staff in the USA and works closely with our customers, suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Defining and executing ECM project plans with controlled budget and scope. Projects must be efficiently executed, with well-supported conclusions.
  • Empirically deriving methods to maximize machining speed, surface finish, safety, process accuracy, repeatability and profitability.
  • Designing tooling models and assemblies, create and tolerance drawings, work with internal and external resources to manufacture tooling.
  • Conducting research to continue developing mathematical models relating process variables (electrical, thermal, rheological, chemical) to interactions (dissolution, transformations, heating) and outputs (shape, smoothness, precision, waste characteristics).
  • Researching the manufacturing fields to identify new and upcoming strategies in the ECM field.
  • Researching for new processing and systems to mitigate of waste, and handle our hazardous materials safely and in alignment with state regulations.
  • Acting as part of the engineering and management team working on ECM, interfacing with both the customers and the project resources.
  •  Training mechanical engineers and technicians in the basics of chemistry which affects their tasks. Receive training in project management and manufacturing engineering.

  • Investigating the causes of variation among our machine coolants, and standardize practices to save money and reduce error.
  • Performing other duties as necessary.
Bring Your Expertise:
  •  Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical engineering or a related field.
  •  Strong analytical and “hands-on” skills.
  •  Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  •  Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Word, and Excel. MS Project or related software preferred.
  • Must maintain adequate near vision by means of annual test (per the requirements of Work Instruction WIQA.05).
  • Moderate physical activity requiring agility and manual dexterity, including walking, standing, or bending as well as lifting or moving objects.
  • Requires occasional lifting and carrying of 25 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time.
