About Us

The role of the Financial Refunds Officer would include supporting various day-to-day activities within the refunds department. Tasks would involve coordinating with the refunds team to ensure smooth operations and processing of payments. The candidate should possess great communication skills, attention to detail, and a good knowledge of MS office. The role may involve generating a variety of reports and analyses to illustrate the company’s financial standing.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Daily focus on financial refunds and balancing.
  • Updating general bookkeeping entries daily ensuring all entries on the financial system are accurate.
  • Communicate to students by email and/or phone to ensure a smooth refund process.
  • Monitor and update accounts payable/receivable.
  • Perform bank reconciliations when needed.
  • Ensure all financial related documents are appropriately filed and recorded.
  • Process relevant payments and ensure receipts are issued correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for filing and maintaining all necessary payment records in appropriate folders.
  • Generate a variety of different reports including accounting and finance reports.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports
  • Clerical duties such as photocopying, filing and mailing.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Skill

  • A post-secondary degree in a related field is required.
  • Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Extensive experience with refunds and balancing.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to think analytically and should be a problem solver.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office systems: Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently and thrive with autonomy.
