Responsibilities |
- Plan and teach well-prepared and dynamic FSL classes according to the syllabus and guidelines.
- Use the Communicative Approach employing methodologies such as guided discovery, task-based learning, and the lexical approach, among others.
- Monitor, assess, track, and record student academic progress and development.
- Assign homework, do marking, and provide meaningful feedback and guidance to students regularly.
- Monitor and maintain regular communication with students for Asynchronous portions of the program.
- Supervise student attendance and behaviour according to college policies.
- Administer and mark tests and assignments while providing constructive feedback to students.
- Develop materials and resources, implement, support and/or aid in the production and improvement of program as appropriate, and undertake other academic project work as directed.
- Maintain good communication with administrative staff in order to properly track student records and success.
- Are involved with the progression of the school by attending meetings and contributing to improvement by implementing new initiatives and providing feedback.
Position Requirements |
- Degree in Education, Linguistics, Pedagogy or equivalent in French
- Bachelor Degree, with experience in teaching French
- Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience
- Effective communicator with positive and flexible attitude
- Detail-oriented, diligent and proactive team player
- Knowledge of LMS systems and online teaching tools e.g. Teams, Canvas, etc.
