The Global Finance Shared Services Director (FSSD) will be the main finance leader in the Trustwave Warsaw office and will be responsible for the global accounting operations related to general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and certain functions related to order to cash.  This leader will be responsible for helping to design and deliver Trustwave’s expanding shared services vision and work with finance leadership and other finance teams within the company.  This includes hiring, managing, and developing the team, defining service level agreements (SLA’s), providing effective governance, ensuring the effectiveness of day-to-day operations, and driving continual process improvement. 

  • Over the next 12-24 months, he/she will further expand the global accounting and finance team in Poland. This includes building and hiring the team, play a key role in training and transition of job responsibilities, working with other finance leaders to establish relationships and lines of communication, and defining other initiatives needed to make the finance transformation successful.
  • Provide leadership for the finance transformation from influencing during the discussion phase, to development, implementation and overseeing a team to conduct the related training. This will be in the areas of finance process transformation improvement, standardization, and simplification of financial processes towards the development of best-in-class end-to-end financial processes.
  • Responsible for financial operations that include but are not limited to:
    • Managing the global accounting, payroll, and accounts payable functions and assisting with other functions as necessary while working with leadership teams located in regions outside of Warsaw.
    • Global general accounting, which includes monthly close for the US, EMEA, and other regions as determined. Oversee accounting team to record journal entries, prepare balance sheet reconciliations, work closely with the financial planning and analysis team and other departments, generate monthly reporting such as financial statements and variance analysis, and seek continual process improvement.  Team will also be responsible for actively participating in annual financial audits, tax compliance activities, and other projects along with filing required financial and compliance reports where needed.
    • Global payroll operations of the US, EMEA, and APAC regions, including all compliance requirements per each country. Works closely with accounting and human resources to make sure Trustwave employee payroll and related tasks are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Global Accounts Payable for all regions which includes setting up vendors, entering invoices, reviewing employee expense reports, filing all necessary compliance requirements, assisting cash management, and running monthly disbursements for various countries.
    • Assist in other functions such as Order to Cash when needed to align/improve all business functions for maximum efficiency and proper internal controls.
  • Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis team to insure proper accounting, variance to budget and forecast analysis, performance metrics development and reporting, and all other financial reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring an appropriate control environment while driving operational efficiency across all responsible areas, strengthening process and control environment, and providing ongoing leadership and functional oversight.
  • Continually look at ways to improve process effectiveness and efficiency, while maintaining anticipated results, deadlines, service level agreements (SLA’s), and accuracy.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on business requirement definition, process design, implementation of process and organizational change and timing of impacted processes across all work teams
  • Assist in the development of work plans, approaches, and mobilization efforts for each initiative work stream
  • Responsible for creating an environment in which problem identification and solving occur in an innovative and collaborative fashion along with a focus on employee development.


Preferred qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree with a Business related major, preferably Accounting with CPA or other Accounting Certification. A Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 15+ years of significant, progressive responsibilities within related finance functional areas managing teams in a business environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and delegating skills, ability to effectively delegate to associates at all levels.
  • Experience in managing teams and departments within a global shared service environment.
  • Experience in setting up and providing services in a shared service environment, working with both local and global resource location to obtain desired outcomes.
  • Experience in developing and leading project teams focused on process alignment and improvement and transitioning work to a global center.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both written and oral.
  • Strong leadership abilities in managing and developing associates, with the ability to create clear goals, foster accountability, and ownership, while encouraging delegation at appropriate levels.
  • Ability to transform strategic goals into tactical project plans, including ability to track within defined timelines.

Education:
We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
