Trustwave is seeking a highly motivated, talented individual to lead the Global Payroll Team in Warsaw, Poland. The Global Payroll Senior Manager will oversee all day-to-day responsibilities as well as strategy development and execution related to Trustwave’s global payroll function, which includes but is not limited to North America/United States, Europe, and the Asia/Pacific regions. This position is located in Warsaw, Poland and will report to Trustwave’s Accounting Director.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading and managing the global payroll team including training, developing, motivating, and evaluating staff
  • Oversee processing of global payroll in all regions and directly process US semi-monthly payroll
  • Enter and process employee-level information in the payroll system (Ceridian); including base compensation changes, commissions, bonuses, overtime, paid leave and holidays, and deductions and withholding
  • Review payroll registers prior to processing semi-monthly payrolls
  • Enter and audit employees benefit adjustments
  • Perform audits and reconciliation of payroll information and provide outside auditors with payroll related data for 401k and workers compensation
  • Oversee/approve payroll amendments as required
  • Run audit reports and post-payroll reports, including general ledger files
  • Ensure accurate and timely accounting, record keeping and management of payroll related data
  • Coordinate new payroll tax jurisdiction registration process and compliance (when necessary)
  • Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local payroll (including monthly/quarterly tax filings), wage, and hour laws
  • Supervise payroll and tax year-end process to ensure timely close of tax year and delivery of accurate W2s and 1095Cs. Manage year-end checklist tasks and responsibilities
  • Oversee response to employee inquiries
  • Actively search for opportunities to automate manual processes to strengthen controls and efficiencies that allow the processes to scale
  • Perform other duties or tasks as assigned


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent combination of relevant education, training and/or experience)
  • 8+ years of Payroll processing and compliance experience including specific knowledge of US payroll processing
  • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) preferred
  • Strong understanding of Payroll software and Payroll providers, with Ceridian experience
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with US multi-state payroll
  • Proficient in US Payroll Tax Compliance Filings (federal and state income tax withholding forms and federal and state unemployment insurance forms)
  • Experience processing & auditing payroll tax amendments and W-2 reconciliations
  • Experience with 401K & workers compensation reconciliations and audits
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel
  • Ability to be flexible in a dynamic, global work environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to align better with US time schedule is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organized and strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills including senior leadership level communication
  • Self-managed and motivated with a strong desire to succeed and achieve goals
  • Sense of ownership to develop and coach team members
  • Problem solving and critical thinking – able to recognize and correct potential compliance issues quickly and effectively
