The web team at Trustwave is a small team of developers, architects, designers, UI/UX experts who enjoy wearing multiple hats to create exceptional and creative web marketing content that will engage users and deliver valuable sales opportunities.

WHAT WE’RE SEEKING:
Trustwave is looking for a Web Content Specialist to join our Chicago based Web Marketing team. The candidate will work out of our newly renovated Chicago HQ. The primary responsibility of this position is to support the Marketing teams web content publishing efforts. Key responsibilities will be analyzing data, tuning and optimizing SEO, performing competitive analysis, generating hypotheses and testing theories.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
The Content Specialist will be engaged in the content strategy and web optimization of our high-visibility corporate website, and work on new projects from conception through completion. This role will report directly to the Director of Marketing, Web Services, and work alongside a team of content creators and web developers.

WHO YOU ARE:

  • Can communicate effectively: listen, give clear direction verbally and has strong writing skills
  • Knowledge around lead nurturing and user engagement
  • Knowledge around the creation of personas, storyboards, scenarios, user flows and use cases
  • Knowledge of content personalization
  • Knowledge of web analytics and SEO
  • Ability to proof content and make sure it adheres to our guidelines
  • Has strong data analytic skills and looks forward to showing what works and what doesn’t.
  • Knowledge of Multi-variant testing


OUR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work with team members to create and gather content.
  • Experience working with web applications and content management systems (CMS).
  • Can ensure timely posting, tagging, and linking of content.
  • Will read and check all content for accuracy and grammatical correctness.
  • Perform maintenance tasks, such as checking for broken links within content.
  • Had a solid understanding of SEO and defining SEO strategies.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML markup and WYSIWYG text editors.
  • Understanding of Google Chrome developer tools and debuggers.

Education:
We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
