The Sales Engineers (SE) will work with Trustwave Account Managers, uncovering opportunities and driving sales. The sales engineer acts in many ways as solution consultants that can speak to the security landscape, architectural models, and current state to future state solutions. You will also possess the ability to discuss and present to both technical and senior members of a client team. You must also be able to collaborate internally with Trustwave teams that can provide value to you in your upskilling and selling situations, but also when you are able to provide value to them by sharing your knowledge, experience, and situational data points.

The SE needs a depth of knowledge and experience in one or more of the following core domains: Security Consulting Services, Managed Security Services, Security Operations, Incident Response and/or Threat Detection. The SE should be versant in solution design methodologies (e.g. Best Practices type of approaches) and have the ability to deliver high quality presentations/discussions around how Trustwave can help our client Plan>Build>Run their immediate and roadmap cybersecurity initiatives.

 Domain Skills

  • Understanding of design and deployment of technology and solutions in one or two of these core domains: Cyber Security, Cyber Security Consulting Services, Managed Security Services, Security Operations, Incident Response and/or Threat Detection.
  • An understanding across multiple technology domains, understanding the inter-relationships between major components.
  • Participate in sales conference calls and prospect visits (in-person when appropriate, and virtually), providing product demonstrations, and working with prospects at both a technical and business level to show how Trustwave’s security solutions can meet their business needs.
  • Participate as a technical resource at trade shows and conferences.
  • Work independently and as a vital member of a sales team.
  • Work with the sales team to strategize on sales approaches to develop business.

 Required

  • Cyber Security education and/or experience. You might have worked for a SecOps team, been a consultant, or ideally worked in a pre-sales capacity related to Cyber Security, Consulting Services, Managed Security Services, Security Operations, Incident Response and/or Threat Detection.
  • The ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner. Set and manage expectations with senior stakeholders and team members.
  • Exceptional communication and listening skills, ability to build rapport and credibility, clearly articulate a value proposition and help customers understand complex topics in a clear manner.
  • A desire to learn and upskill yourself. Trustwave fully supports individual growth and wants to promote from within. We will help you on your path.
  • English: Fluent

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent educational or industry experience
  • Previous technical enablement or training experience.
  • Understand and be conversant about Trustwave competitors, their solutions, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats
  • Basic knowledge in one or more of the following security and compliance/regulatory standards: CIS, ISO 2700x, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, GDPR, PIPEDA, HK PDPO, EU DPD, BDSG, DISA-STIG,etc.
  • Verifiable and current certifications, including cloud, CISSP, CISM, C|EH, CISM and/or CISA.

Education:

We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
