The SpiderLabs Digital Forensics and Incident Response team help customers prepare for and respond to computer security breaches. We are looking for a systems administrator to join our team and manage our forensic systems. These involves a mix of Windows and Linux systems in both cloud and on-prem networks.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years working in IT, with recent experience managing both Windows and Linux servers and experience in automation and scripting on both platforms.

Responsibilities include:

  • Design and maintenance of a global forensic analysis environment.
  • Improving operational efficiency by identifying opportunities for optimization.
  • Creating and maintaining forensic analysis images.
  • Assisting in identifying and evaluating digital forensic tools and software.
  • Managing security infrastructure, including firewalls, proxies, VPN, anti-malware and intrusion detection systems.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory of all infrastructure, end-user equipment and software.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation as it relates to infrastructure, services, configurations, support and processes.

Technical Qualifications:

  • Direct experience administering Microsoft Windows and Linux in a production environment.
  • Strong technical proficiency with Windows 10.
  • Experience with PowerShell for automation and system administration.
  • Experience with Linux scripting (bash, python, PERL etc) for automation and system administration
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
  • Experience with a hypervisor (VMware or Xenserver).
  • Experience managing a AWS environment.

General skills: 

  • Ability to manage own work and properly prioritize requests. Ability to balance multiple simultaneous demands and self-adjust to meet shifting priorities.
  • A passion for customer service. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot problems and work user requests from start to finish with a HIGH level of customer service and communication.
  • Willingness to occasionally work scheduled night/weekend times and to be available on-call for user emergencies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Familiarity with the security industry is desirable but not required.

 

Education:

We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
