Reporting to the Director of Consulting & Professional Services (Pacific), the Director of Threat Detection & Response (TDR) Consulting is responsible for leading the design and delivery of professional services for the implementation of cyber security solutions for Trustwave’s clients, along with delivery of SOC/SIEM advisory and implementation services including delivery and handover to MSS for ongoing management. The Director TDR Consulting is also responsible for the Project Management capability used in the delivery of these projects.

The role involves extensive stakeholder engagement and management, including working closely with:

  • Technology Partners (for Alliances) Team, in selection of vendors for whom we will be build out a deployment capability;
  • Product Management, in ensuring we are ready and able to deliver required PS services for forthcoming product releases;
  • Trustwave Sales Teams, in understanding forward pipeline, building a team aligned with that pipeline, and supporting the scoping and sales effort;
  • The broader CPS business, supporting the development of capability able to support the PS business in an overflow or specialist capacity;
  • Optus Business, as our Go To Market partner and peer in project delivery across a range of large and complex programs of work;
  • Vendors, in ensuring that the PS team is suitable trained and qualified to deliver the services required by our clients.

 

The role evaluates and identifies the priority cyber capability gaps and facilitates the development of capabilities that will support the achievement of targeted revenue and an outstanding customer experience cyber professional services space.  The role is intended to be 50% billable and to take a hands on role with engagements and clients.

 

The Director TDR Consulting provides technical leadership, direction, guidance and recommendations to the Trustwave Pacific team and senior management in the strategic and tactical planning for the design and use of cyber security technology.

 

The role requires technical and implementation expertise and an ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment to deliver capability improvement that can be sustained and further developed for future growth. The role provides day to day guidance with respect to innovations, automations, and efficiencies that can be implemented to improve customer delivery while also developing new solutions for profitable organic growth.

 

The role requires continuous engagement with the Trustwave Cyber Security leaders to ensure alignment with regional cyber strategic priorities and interlock on capability development initiatives.

As a leader in the CPS business, the Director TDR Consulting provides guidance and mentorship to TDR Consulting team members, provides timely and accurate performance feedback, develops and maintains career growth, succession planning and roadmap planning. The role leverages change management capability to support cultural, organisation and process change and enables the delivery of new operating models and a fit for purpose workforce.

Develop TDR Consulting roadmap for the third party vendor business, SOC/SIEM implementation services, and the project management capability

Identify and appraise current capabilities and build a transformation strategy and roadmap by: 

  • Understanding product and service requirements, capabilities, specifications, delivery processes.
  • Identifying product and process improvement opportunities.
  • Identifying GTM and sales enablement processes and improvement opportunities.
  • Identifying organisational structure opportunities and skill gaps in TDR Consulting team
  • Identifying and addressing the underlying/future needs of customers
  • Defining service offerings and working with internal stakeholders to move these services to production use

Identify opportunities to improve engagement and integration of cyber activities across OB
