Trustwave is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated candidate who is or who wants to become an expert in the Secure Email Gateway space. The role will require interaction with Trustwave internal sellers, as well as external channel partners. 

Core duties include proposing, designing, and presenting technical solutions that address a customer’s business and technical requirements. The Sales Engineer will report to a Sales Engineering Manager or the Vice President, Global Sales Engineering, and will work with Account Managers and Solutions Architects to close business and ensure customer satisfaction. The role is remote so the candidate may work from a home office. Occasional travel to Trustwave HQ may be required.

Day-to-day

  • Work with, and collaborate with Trustwave sales and channel partners, to help delivery of demonstrations, position the Trustwave SEG (Secure Email Gateway) solution and professional services.
  • Be the primary technical contact for the entire sales process. Which may include PoC (Proof-of-Concept), RFP responses and possibly assisting partners with implementation oversight where needed.
  • Recommend and architect SEG solution for customer environments.
  • Work with PM and Marketing to enhance the go to market solution globally.
  • Work closely with partners and distributors with the goal of becoming the goto SEG solution for their customers.
  • You may also be called upon to assist in professional services deployments, technical training, and industry seminars and/or trade shows.

Requirements

  • 5+ years background in cybersecurity is preferred, sales engineering or technical support role.
  • Background and experience implementing enterprise email solutions such as Exchange, O365 as well as Secure Email Gateway offerings
  • An understanding of network protocols including SMTP, LDAP, HTTP, TCP
  • Knowledge of or experience in administering email solutions, such as Exchange, Lotus and competitor Secure Email Gateway solutions
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Must be willing to work on large complex deals, especially RFP’s.
  • Fluent in English required with a second language, such as Spanish, beneficial
  • CISSP or other industry certification an advantage but not required


Education:

We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
