Within the Finance team, we are currently hiring an Accounts Receivable (AR) Cash Application Analyst, located in Warsaw, Poland.  This position will be mainly focused on US and EMEA businesses and involves reporting on daily cash received from customers in the company’s bank accounts and applying cash to customer accounts in Trustwave’s Accounts Receivable subledger.  The position works closely with the billing and collections teams and requires a high level of attention to detail and problem-solving skills.  The ideal candidate will also have opportunities to improve current processes in an effort to increase efficiencies and internal controls.

To be successful in this role, candidates must be self-motivated, energetic, proactive, and work independently in a team environment.  Additionally, attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment is required. This position has high visibility across the company including sales, operations, finance, and service functions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all incoming customer payments for various business units, mainly US and EMEA based.
  • Ensure that customer cash is posted timely and accurately
  • Reconcile cash to bank statements daily
  • Prepare all journal entries related to incoming cash
  • Ensure all intercompany cash is posted correctly
  • Ensure that all credit card, ACH, and EFT transactions are posted timely and accurately
  • Process any manual credit card payments
  • Post any incoming non-AR cash to proper General Ledger account
  • Reconcile and post any Trustwave Portal payments
  • Prepare and distribute daily cash reports to management
  • Research any account discrepancies and work with sales and service personnel to resolve issues and facilitate collections
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of customer accounts through credits, adjustments, and leading cash applications review
  • Prepare weekly collection reports for management review
  • Assist with other projects on an as-needed basis, as directed by management

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree: accounting or finance preferred
  • 1+ years of related experience preferred
  • Ability to work flexible schedule for better alignment with US and EMEA regions a plus
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to multi-task, follow through, and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to fast-paced growing environment
  • Proficient with MS Excel and technically strong
  • Working knowledge of a widely used accounting software package; NetSuite experience is desirable
