In this role, you will develop, plan, coordinate, and evaluate cyber training/education courses, methods, and techniques based on instructional needs. This position has a steep learning curve, is fast paced, requires a growth mindset, strong communication skills, a great attitude, and a high technical aptitude. In this position, you will have direct influence and impact on the growth and success of the company.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Meet training requirements based on position, and obtain and maintain industry recognized cybersecurity certifications
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to evaluate and define employee training needs
  • Map out training plans for multiple cybersecurity roles
  • Identify training programs to address competency gaps and source training programs to meet specific training needs
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external training suppliers
  • Create and manage the training program; plan and manage training rollout outs
  • Establish and manage training completion metrics - track and report
  • Design and apply assessment tools to measure training effectiveness
  • Partner closely with vendors to deliver effective training
  • Maintain employee skills matrix
  • Keep current on training design and methodology

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field, preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with cybersecurity and privacy training programs
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity and privacy
  • Exceptional project management skills, including attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of instructional design and learning theory, principles, and training methodologies
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and their use in managing learning.
  • Knowledge of modes of learning (e.g., rote learning, observation).
  • Knowledge of organizational training and education policies, processes, and procedures.

Education:

We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
