Security Analyst - InfoSec

  • Analyze and respond to security threats from Firewall (FW), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Internal Vulnerability Scans (IVS), External Vulnerability Scans (EVS) and other security threat data sources
  • Manage and Troubleshoot FW, IDS, WAF, IVS, EVS and a wide variety of other security products/appliances
  • Use strong TCP/IP networking skills to perform network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems
  • Respond to internal requests via email and other electronic means for technical assistance
  • Work closely with IT for IVS/EVS/PenTest remediation
  • Present vulnerability findings to Security Team and/or Security Council
  • Research current Threats to provide insightful evidence for security control updates
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and security practices
  • Resolve problems independently and understand escalation procedure

Required Technical Experience:

  • Requires critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Requires a passion for information security and data security
  • Requires practical experience with TCP/IP networking
  • Requires experience with Linux, Windows and Network Operating Systems
  • Requires working knowledge of common network services, protocols, and ports
  • Prefer candidate that have documented experience with one or more of the following security products: Snort, ModSecurity, Nessus, WebDefend, Burp, Cisco, Sourcefire, Checkpoint, IPTables

  Key Competencies:

  • Must have strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Must be detail oriented and willing to dig deep to provide results
  • Requires strong organization skills
  • Ability to work with many different internal teams with constantly varying priorities
  • Interface with high level executives in a polite, efficient, and professional manner

Additional Requirements: 

  • Requires professional experience in Information Security or Networking 
  • Preferred candidates will have one or more certifications in Security/Networking including Security+, GSEC, GCIA, GCIH, CISSP or other security specific vendor/productcertifications

Education:
