The Associate Director, Product Management is responsible for overall product and business planning for Trustwave within Asia.  The Associate Director, Product Management is the internal expert for the market including market definition, sizing and segmentation, detailed knowledge of the competitive landscape, and intimate understanding of how customers evaluate and purchase managed security and compliance services.  The Associate Director, Product Management will drive the product and services strategy and requirements for his/her solution domain(s) and will develop the business plan for global penetration and success of the offerings.  

The Associate Director, Product Management will work directly with engineering, sales, partners and customers to execute on regional product strategy and will have P&L responsibility for the program success. The Product Manager reports to the Director of Product Management.

Responsibilities:
Product and Market Requirements

  • Identify and document product and market requirements for the overall Trustwave Managed Security Services, Trustwave Consulting/Professional Services and other Technology Solutions.
  • Meet directly with customers, new prospects, analysts, partners, and sales staff to gain market insights and evangelize the company's Cyber Security Portfolio.
  • Champion a customer-centric approach to product and services definition and development.


Product Development

  • Work with Global Product Management and Engineering to develop and maintain compelling product roadmaps that deliver on business requirements.
  • Participate in an Agile product development environment as a Product Owner when required:
  • Define and elaborate high quality feature requirements
  • Participate in pertinent Agile ceremonies (release/sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, etc.) as required. 


Business Planning & Development

  • Identify key growth opportunities for Trustwave offerings and work with Product Marketing and Sales to ensure successful execution.
  • Co-author the Market Requirements Document (MRD) with Product Marketing for identifying growth strategies.
  • Lead and be an active participant in execution of go-to-market and launch activities for offerings. 
  • Plays the advocator and evangelist for public/customer/media events.
  • Product P&L
  • Operate the business as a P&L owner, maximizing revenue opportunity while managing cost and bottom line results. 


Requirements:

  • 8 to 10+ years of Product Management/Product Marketing/Presales/Business Development experience in the Cybersecurity space, managing enterprise-class offerings in a regionally/globally environment.
  • Possess a blend of business, marketing and sales acumen.
  • Possess experience in Financial Management and Process Management
  • Experience in customer-centric requirements gathering and Agile product development.
  • Experience with working knowledge across multiple different technology vendors in Cyber security space (e.g., Managed Security Services; Database Security; Web and Email Security; Vulnerability, Web, and Application Scanners; Cyber Threat Intelligence; Cloud Security)
  • Excellent presentation and communications skills, to both internal and external stakeholders, both oral and written
  • Highly organized, self-directed business style, with strong ability to prioritize.
  • Excellent people skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third-parties.
  • Must work well in a team, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.
  • Preferably with Team Management experience. 
  • Preferably with Security Professional Certification such CISSP or CISA
  • Preferably with Cybersecurity Industry and community engagement experience.
  • Periodic travels (<10%) and frequent night/morning calls to interact with global functional teams
  • Able to work in a matrix reporting organization for global and regional responsibilities


Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred; MBA a plus; At Trustwave, we prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
