We are looking to expand the Cyber Security R&D team with an experienced applications/software developer. The role will be based in NUS-Singtel Cyber Security Corp Lab.

 

The candidate should be passionate about applied research and development of cutting-edge security technologies. With a strong desire to work on problems with real-world impact and commercial value, the candidate will perform full stack development and productisation by working closely with a team of security domain experts.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the data analytics team members to support data ETL and evaluation of analytics models
  • API programming
  • Building frontend/visualisation prototypes that will offer deeper insights, allowing critical discoveries surrounding network traffic data and device logs
  • Supporting translation and productisation of new IPs, including POCs with customers

 

Requirements:

  • Technical knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas: Applications/Software Development
  • Familiar with full-stack development (CSS, JS, MySQL, MongoDB, NodeJS)

 

Additional desirable experience and skills in the following areas:

  • Experience with technologies such as Splunk, Hadoop, Spark, Java, C/C++, Python, Windows Event Data, Nix/Syslog data, R, etc. would be an advantage
  • Big data technologies (Elasticsearch, Hadoop, Kafka, NiFi, etc.)
  • Networking concepts (routes, subnets, ports, firewalls, etc.) and tools
  • Security concepts and tools
  • Possession of professional security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) would be an advantage

 

General Skills

  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Forward thinking and keeping up with current paradigms and technologies
  • Strong analytical thinking, interpersonal and problem solving skills

Education:
We prefer college-educated applicants, but at minimum, high school diploma or equivalent is required for employment.
