The Global Accounts Payable Manager will handle all day-to-day responsibilities related to the company’s global accounts payable functions, which include but are not limited to North America/United States, Europe, and the Asia/Pacific regions. This position is located in Warsaw, Poland and will report to the Director of Accounting. 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for leading and managing the global accounts payable team, which consists of 3-4 team members, and includes hiring, training, developing, motivating, and evaluating staff.
  • Oversee the global procurement to pay process, which utilizes Coupa (vendor and invoice approvals, expense reports) and NetSuite ERP.
  • Continually evaluate and improve accounts payable policies and procedures for proper controls, efficiencies, and a high degree of accuracy and timeliness as well as maintaining process documentation on regular basis
  • Ensures that vendors, invoices, and employee expense reports are entered, approved, processed, and disbursed in a timely, complete, and accurate manner.
  • Drives compliance with internal controls (i.e. proper segregation of duties, purchase order and invoice approvals) and IRS regulations for 1099 reporting and any other country specific compliance requirements.
  • Builds strong relationship with internal customers and vendors, solves problems collaboratively using traditional and creative methods, and meets resistance with tact, sensitivity, and professionalism.
  • Actively searches for opportunities to automate manual processes to strengthen controls and efficiencies that allow the business to scale without additional investment. This includes but is not limited to improvements around system integration, vendor/PO/invoice alignment, payment processing and banking, disbursement reconciliation, and any necessary sales and use/indirect tax compliance.
  • Responsible for assigned aspects of monthly financial close / financial reporting and any treasury related or cash projection assistance.
  • Develop and distribute regular accounting payable related reporting such as regular vendor spend analysis, expense report spends and compliance with policy, and internal team performance metrics.
  • Other projects or tasks as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field (or equivalent combination of relevant education, training and/or experience)
  • 6+ years of related professional experience in Accounts Payable, including a minimum of 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
  • Ability to work flexible schedule for better alignment with US and EMEA regions a plus.
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP or IFRS
  • Advanced understanding of Accounts Payable systems and the related software to support day-to-day activities
  • Leadership level communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Ability to be flexible in a dynamic, global work environment
  • Accounting software technical proficiency with NetSuite. Coupa/Concur experience a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with emphasis on Excel and Word
  • Self-managed and motivated with a strong desire to succeed and achieve goals
