The Breeder Market Manager will be an exceptional people leader with essential soft skills, and an autonomous, proven leader. A natural collaborator with ability to move quickly. You will take ownership of overall results while inspiring analytical mindset and individualized strategies for each report and their assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Consult regularly with reporting Breeder Relationship Managers within assigned markets by highlighting trends and opportunity, maximize areas of growth, and assisting with strategy to drive increased engagement and enrollments.
- Connect, listen, and mentor to align the team to find opportunities in processes to reach and exceed growth goals. Includes phone call mentorship, email review, setting individual goals with team members.
- Develop key partner conversation skills by providing power statements to increase engagement and upskill ability to eloquently individualize call to actions internally and externally.
- Report on overall channel spend on a monthly basis. Track and report on goal progress on an ongoing basis. Approve monthly compensation calculations.
- Keep a sharp eye on the big picture. Monitor and report to leadership on team trends. Communicate to every level of the business via email, zoom, and in person.
- Balance ownership of markets as a whole while empowering Breeder Relationship Managers to operate individually within their assigned areas.
- Inspire team to think out of the box and innovate engagement methods.
- Apply self-awareness and emotional intelligence to identify motivators in team members, and continuously support competency development.
- Partner with external teams (BI, Claims, Sales) to create support structures.
- Partner with Director of Breeder to strategize MLR to ensure ongoing success of program.
10-15% travel time. Work with your team to facilitate training and attendance at hosted events such as seminars, dog and cat shows across the US and Canada.
Experience:
- 3+ years proven experience with leading and mentoring individual contributors
- 2+ years experience sales, relationship management or account management
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Strong product knowledge, client relation, and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and CRM
- Strong prioritization skills
- Ability to thrive in an adaptive environment
- Highly organized and responsive with great attention to detail
- Exceptional oral and written communication and follow up skills
- Strong work ethic, positive demeanor, and great team collaboration skills

- Pet passionate
Education, Registration & Certification:
Have or obtain P&C licensure across North America
Compensation:
- The salary for this position is $85,000 on a full time schedule. Along with the base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
