The position offers a base annual salary between $66,560 - $70,000, depending on experience. The position works out of the Irvine Corporate office.

Job Description:

The Project Accountant is self-motivated, has a high level of organization, great attention to detail and is persistent in following up on tasks.

Essential Functions:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, job cost accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivables, general ledger and invoicing.
  • Process vendor invoices/subcontractor payment requests.
  • Track contracts and change orders.
  • Track preliminary notices on all projects.
  • Prepare monthly draws with lender.
  • Maintain accounting records and ensure complete and accurate files are maintained according to project requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly and quarterly, and annual accounting reports within appropriate deadlines.

Special Requirements:

Attendance/Travel:

  • This position is a full-time position and may require the availability to work flexible hours occasionally.
  • Regular attendance and active participation at company functions and events is expected.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with payment applications, schedule of values, lien releases, and general budget tracking.
  • Must be organized, efficient, and the ability to multi-task, be flexible, work independently and be willing to work cooperatively with co-workers and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills required.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree a plus.

Experience:

  • 2 Years of construction project accounting experience, or related professional experience required.

Computer Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
