The Opportunity

As an Information Technology Operations Assistant, you will support a dynamic and fast-paced Information Technology department that serves a national, well-respected real estate property management company. This role provides essential clerical, logistical, and operational support to the Information Systems team, including equipment ordering, shipping and receiving, invoice processing, cellular and mobile device management, inventory coordination, and routing IT support tickets.

This position is ideal for someone highly organized, resourceful, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a high-performing technology team.

Compensation & Schedule
This role pays $28–$32 per hour, depending on experience. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This is a full-time, in-office position based in Irvine, California. Local candidates only will be considered.

What You’ll Own

Operational & Technical Support

  • Computer equipment purchasing
    • Ordering and coordinating cellular service, phones, and tablets
    • Management of mobile devices and cellular lines, plans, and tracking
    • Basic hardware configuration and equipment preparation
    • Routing IT support tickets to the appropriate technicians or departments
    • Data entry and updates for inventory and ticketing systems

Purchasing, Vendors & Logistics

  • Creation of purchase orders
    • Invoice processing
    • Vendor account management, including AP account responsibilities for technology vendors
    • Shipping and receiving of equipment and materials
    • Initiation and tracking of Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs)
    • Coordination of warranty repairs with manufacturers and vendors
    • Scheduling and logistical coordination for equipment installations with sites and vendors
    • Expense account management for the CTO

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience: Technical exposure preferred, shipping and receiving, managing vendor accounts, and handling cellular devices

 

Requirements

Availability & Travel

This position may require occasional availability outside standard business hours for department needs. Limited travel may be required for company events, training, or project support. Active participation in team and company activities is expected.

Physical Demands

This position requires regular periods of sitting, standing, walking, and the use of hands and arms. Occasional climbing may be required. Extended use of computers or telephones is typical. The role may involve lifting up to 25 pounds independently. Candidates must be able to respond promptly to both visual and auditory cues and may be required to work indoors or outdoors under various weather conditions.
