The Opportunity

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our organization. You will ensure invoices are accurately processed, vendor accounts are up to date, and payment issues are resolved quickly. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are essential.

The position pays $25 to $28 per hour, based on your experience.

The schedule is in-office, Monday through Friday.

What You’ll Own

Invoice Processing & Data Management
• Enter invoices with accuracy and audit for completeness and compliance.
• Process check runs and prepare payments in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain organized digital and physical records for all payables documentation.

Vendor Relations & Issue Resolution
• Research and address past-due balances.
• Resolve vendor inquiries and discrepancies in a timely, professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal teams and external partners.

Financial Support & Administrative Tasks
• Assist with month-end closing tasks related to payables.
• Monitor invoice workflow through Yardi/PayScan.
• Support the Accounts Payable team with special projects and process improvements.

Problem Solving: Ability to research and resolve invoice or payment issues efficiently.

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of Accounts Payable experience is required.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; Excel and Yardi/PayScan is required.

Requirements

Availability & Travel

This position will require availability for nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, as well as occasional travel for company events or meetings. Active participation in team functions and regional or company activities is expected.

Physical Demands

This position necessitates regular periods of sitting, standing, walking, as well as use of hands and arms. Occasional climbing may be required. Extended use of computers or telephones is also necessary. The role may require lifting up to 25 pounds independently. The ability to respond promptly to both visual and auditory alarms is essential. Candidates must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, hail, wind, and sleet.
