We are actively seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to spearhead operations for an integrated project team supporting the US Army PM for Tactical Radios in Material Fielding, Integrated Product Support, Platform Integration, and Field Support services.

 

Senior Integrated Logistics Specialist - Serves as an expert logistics management specialist concerned with directing, developing, and performing life cycle logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for major complex systems that encompass new and emerging technologies or complicated fielding requirements.

 

Responsibilities

  • Manages most or all of the integrated product support elements (i.e. product support management, design interface, sustaining engineering, support equipment, maintenance planning and management: manpower and personnel; supply support: training and training support; technical data; computer resources; packaging, handling, storage, and transportation, and facilities and infrastructure) for one or more acquisition programs.
  • Manages the processes of planning, directing, managing, monitoring, evaluating, and correcting deficiencies in ILS throughout the research, development, and acquisition process.
  • Interfaces with logistics element managers, contract support providers, training facilities, Integrated Logistics Support Management organizations and other service users at contractor facilities and government activities.
  • Develops, interprets, and/or applies a wide range of DoD, Army and PEO acquisition and logistics policies, directives, and precedents.
  • Responsible for the coordination, preparation, evaluation, and review of ILS management and planning documents assuring that tailoring, streamlining, and acquisition reform are considered and applied.
  • Develops documents used for preparation of life cycle funding and budgeting to support the acquisition and sustainment of the system/equipment.
  • Establishes or ensures the establishment of ILS requirements for acquisition documents and contracts.
  • Monitors the status and quality of ILS development services and products.
  • Evaluates progress in attaining ILS objectives.
  • Recommends new logistics support concepts with the goal of identifying inefficiencies and recommending improvements.

 

Desired Skills

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Integrated Logistic Support and System Life Cycle Support areas of DOD application. This shall include experience in maintenance planning, supply support, technical logistical data, packaging, handling, storage, and transportation.

 

 

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor Degree – Business, Logistics, or a related field
  • Substitution for Degree - Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience or relevant military service may be substituted for education or 8 years logistics experience with a certified Professional Logistician (CPL) certificate .
