Tribalco APAC Division – Project Manager Job Description

 

Tribalco is seeking a highly motivated, self-starter to serve in the role of Project Manager in our APAC Division. This position is located in mainland Japan. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience managing projects. Must be able to manage and lead a team consisting of Tribalco and subcontractor personnel working together to deliver integrated solutions for our clients. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate with project stakeholders, and must be able to develop and track budgets, supervise installation teams, manage projects in accordance with the PMI PMBOK methodology, be active in process improvement, project planning, reporting and performance management. Candidate must have an active US SECRET security clearance. Ability to speak conversational Japanese would be a huge plus.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop schedules, pricing, statements of work, proposals, and project planning and communications documents.
  • Manage multiple projects with various government entities.
  • Proactively and consistently communicate internally and externally, to include status meetings, kickoff meetings, project reviews, presentations, in person and electronically/telecom.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to high-ranking government officials.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with all levels of contractors and vendors including electricians, technicians, engineers, architects, project managers, and account managers.
  • Represent Tribalco by ensuring that projects are managed and completed in an efficient and professional manner.
  • Present themselves to the customer in a professional businesslike manner.
  • Ensure that project scope is completed within cost, quality, and schedule constraints.
  • Manage and track all project tasks utilizing MS Project and in compliance with CMMI and ISO standards.
  • Assess and manage impact of project risks and change orders.
  • Manage project billing milestones, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

 

Required Skills:

 

  • 8+ years of project management experience with contracts valued more than $1M.
  • 2+ years of Government contracting experience including a basic familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • 5+ years of experience managing subcontractors and vendors.
  • Experience with project management measurement methodologies (i.e., CMMI and ISO).
  • Solid grammar and writing skills.
  • Excellent verbal skills and a demonstrated ability to quickly develop professional relationships with management, staff, vendors, and customers.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement processes and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical ability and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated strong ability to work in team environment; focus on results, enabling businesses to operate more effectively.
  • Knowledge of SCIF construction requirements a plus.

 

Education & Training

 

  • PMP certification required
  • Four (4) year degree preferred
