Tribalco is seeking a Computer Support Specialist IV to provide support for our government customer at AFC Austin, TX. The Computer Support Specialist IV works with a larger team to ensure customers computing platforms are correctly configured and optimized for operations. Under direct supervision, performs general maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment located throughout the organization.  Maintains an adequate spare parts inventory of systems, subsystems, and component parts used in repair work.  Prepares progress reports for all work performed.


Responsibilities (Not listed in order of importance; other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following with minimal guidance:

  • Configure authorized end user and network devices, to include computers, printers, laptops, scanners, and other hardware.
  • Configure bulk authorized end user and network devices, to include computers, printers, laptops, scanners, and other hardware
  • Provide local touch labor services, to include installation, troubleshooting, and software updates; security updates; vendor patches (service packs, service releases), etc., when electronic application means do not exist
  • Provide local touch labor services, to include installation, troubleshooting, and repair
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
  • Ability to set up and configure server hardware

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a computer technician ore desktop support specialist.
  • Must possess and maintain an IT I level certification IAW AR 25-2 and an IAT II certifications IAW DoD 8570.01-M and BBP 05-PR-M-0002.
